Course Description
ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity IMJI10, 11, and 19 concentrate on the skilled performance expected when working with hand and hydraulically torqued flanged and clamp connector pipe joints.

ECITB International MJI 10 11 19 20 Training Certificate
ECITB training certificates are valid for 2 years.
Learners progressing to technical testing have 1 year from the completion of this course to complete their technical test.
What is the duration of the course?
The 'optimum' duration of the course is 1.5 days.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no prerequisites for ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI10, MJI18 & MJI19), however ECITB MJI10 must be completed before MJI19 can be completed.
What does the course cover?
This ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity course is a combination of IMJI10, 11, 19 which concentrate on the skills to perform various MJI techniques using a range of equipment.
Learners will gain the skills required to dismantle, inspect, prepare, assemble, and tighten flanged and clamp connector pipe joints and bolted connections using:
- Hand torque equipment
- Hydraulic torque equipment
The training is delivered by experienced instructors who are time served in a mechanical discipline and have worked as hands-on technicians/supervisors in the mechanical joint integrity industry.
ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity includes all aspects of hazards, health and safety, guidance and practical exercises about safe use and good working practices.
How is the course assessed?
To be competent, Learners will be required to complete the ECITB ITMJI Technical Tests associated with the IMJI modules being undertaken. Learners have one year to complete their technical test after the completion of this course.
