The CompEx Foundation
qualification has been designed to provide an introduction into
potentially explosive or flammable
environments where gases, vapours
and dust can form a hazardous
atmosphere.
What certificate will i receive?
Upon successful completion of the course candidates will receive a CompEx Certificate For Foundation in Hazardous Awareness.
Certificates can be verified through our website or through the CompEx website.
What is the duration of the course?
The optimum ‘contact time’ for this training programme is seen as 10 hours over 1.5 days.
Optimum contact time is based on the maximum number of candidates attending.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no entry requirements for this course.
What does the course cover?
The ExF CompEx Foundation course provides candidates with an understanding of the regulations, directives and standards associated with locations containing hazardous atmospheres.
Candidates will receive an overview of hazardous area classifiaction, safe working practices and basic protection concepts used for certifying Ex equipment.
This is a theory-only course and is suitable for technical and non- technical personnel who require a basic understanding of hazardous work areas, or who wish to develop their knowledge before undertaking more technical CompEx qualifications.
How is the course assessed?
Online Exam
Candidates must undertake a multiple-choice examination which consists of 30 questions answered over 45 minutes.
This online theory exam is undertaken at a training centre or can be undertake remotely via some CompEx centres subject to prior arrangement.
