LEEA Accredited - Mobile Crane Operator Training

Course Description

The LEEA Accredited Mobile Crane Operator Training course is for personnel who have had little or no training and/or experience in Mobile Crane operations and wish to gain an Industry-recognised introductory certificate in Mobile Crane operations, to enable them to start employment as an Operator

What certificate will i receive?

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will be awarded with a LEEA Accredited Certificate, valid for 2 years.

What is the duration of the course?

The optimum ‘contact time’ for this training programme is seen as 32 hours over 4 consecutive days.

Optimum contact time is based on the maximum number of learners attending.

What are the entry requirements?

Learners must hold a valid driving license for the vehicle being used. For example this is a Heavy Motor Vehicle licence (HMV)

What does the course cover?

The aim and objectives of the training is to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to undertake the duties of a Mobile Crane Operator for lifting operations.

How is the course assessed?

The Mobile Crane Operator Training assessment/reassessment is comprised of two parts:

1. Knowledge assessment

The knowledge assessment comprises a written examination of which the learner will be asked a series of questions during the theory element of the training

2. Practical assessment

The practical assessment comprises of a lifting plan exercise scenario. Learners will be expected to carry out a series of lifts following a lift plan.

Both assessments will be invigilated.
